Our Red Hawaiian Turmeric Root (Curcuma Longa) is grown in the world's richest volcanic soils with the pristine waters of Kauai. The dark orange juice it yields has hands-down the most potent flavor of any comparable variety on the planet, in part for its naturally high levels of curcumin that make up about 5% of the root. Only small amounts of the juice (not powder!) combined with black pepper or cayenne are needed to absorb the curcumin along with the many other active compounds.
